An original oil painting on stretched canvas. The painting is of a great blue heron in the middle of a struggle with two snakes. The snakes are caught in the heron's beak, one impaled, while they wrap around and constrict the heron's head. Its wings are half outstretched as it prepares to fly away with its prey. This is an intense, dynamic wildlife scene full of bright psychedelic colors. The subjects are surrounded by an abstract watery background, in the style of realism, impressionism and surrealism. The dominant colors of the background are red and magenta, with splashes of green, blue and cyan.
